John Olayemi Awe, lead consultant, RMS Entertainment, is Nigeria’s first certified Pro Tools engineer in both fields of Music and audio post-production. He has been described by Avid Technologies as one of the ‘finest audio and video personnel in the world’ (http://www.avid.com/US/ support/training/certification). He specializes in music production, live sound reinforcement, and audio post-production for TV, feature films, documentaries, adverts, etcetera. With both a diploma and a first-class Bachelor of Science Degree in Sound Engineering as well as an Electroacoustics Master's Degree in view, he is an expert in acoustics, studio design, integration, and immersive audio. He has worked as a broadcast engineer at radio and TV stations in Johannesburg and also during the FIFA 2010 World Cup as an audio description engineer. He has been the FOH engineer and technical director at House on the Rock, Johannesburg. He has lectured Processing Sound, Pro Tools, Electronics, and Mathematics at the Academy of Sound Engineering, South Africa. He is also a certified AVID VENUE user, the console brand regarded as the best and most versatile by world’s best live sound engineers. John is an Audinate Dante certified professional.
